Since it was going to be my first work experience in the Social Services field, I was very excited and eager. My professors from university and the government institutions where I completed my internship had also recommended that I definitely get in touch with Altınçatı and Nevia Care Homes, which are leading centers in care home and elderly care services. When I came for the job interview, while filling out the job application form, I was struck by the happiness and positive energy of the guests in the common area of the institution. Qualifications
- Graduate of a four-year ‘Social Work’ department,
- Knowledgeable about the psychology of ageing, gerontology and crisis management,
- Strong communication skills, empathy and powers of persuasion,
- Meticulous about planning, organisation and record keeping,
- Able to use MS Office (Word, Excel) effectively,

Job Description
- Holding preliminary interviews with applicants and their relatives, assessing admission criteria and managing the orientation process,
- Analysing residents’ social and psychological circumstances and preparing an Individual Care and Social Service Plan for each resident,
- Keeping in regular contact with residents’ relatives and informing them about their progress,
- Handling official correspondence with the Ministry and supervisory bodies, and archiving residents’ personal files in line with the regulations and keeping them up to date,
- Planning social, cultural and artistic activities that raise residents’ motivation, and seeing them through,
- Working in coordination with the in-house multidisciplinary team (doctor, nurse, elderly care technician) to help raise the quality of service.

- Working hours: 09:00 – 18:00,
